Whenever my brother and I would fight or complain to her about each other she would always call both of us and say to us ‘Remember the two of you is one’!  You always have to look out for each other and care for each other.

This went for our extended family as well. There was the expectation that we always had to get along and be there for each other. This was an important foundation for me growing up, I always felt supported by my brother and my extended family. There was always an invincible foundation of unconditional love, support and acceptance.
